WASHINGTON – Despite a season that was cut short because of the impact of COVID-19, the Georgetown University sailing team collected honors as both the Mid-Atlantic Intercollegiate Sailing Association (MAISA) and Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) announced its postseason accolades. In addition to four national accolades, six all-conference honors and one conference major award winner, Head Coach
Michael J. Callahan was inducted into the ICSA Hall of Fame.
2019-20 MAISA ALL-CONFERENCE
- Six Hoyas earned postseason accolades from MAISA, including one major award winner and Callahan earning the MAISA Coach of the Year Award for the second time in his career (2019-20, 2015-16).
- Senior Sean Segerblom was named the MAISA Sailor of the Year, awarded annually to the best coed skipper. Additionally, he was named to the MAISA Coed Skipper All-Conference First Team while classmate William Logue earned second team honors.

- Earning a spot on the MAISA Crew All-Conference Team was senior Celine Bennett, junior Jack Hogan and sophomore Annabelle Ayer.
2019-20 ICSA ALL-AMERICANS
- Despite incomplete results, All-Americans were selected at the national level by the ICSA. The criteria includes a candidate's competitive record in inter-conference competition as well as conference and national championships. The committee analyzes how this record compares to fellow competitors, the quality of the competition the record was achieved in, and results achieved competing with different crews, the span of the record over the fall and spring seasons, and how the record compares to previous All-Americans (skippers and crew) as well as demonstrated leadership, outstanding body mechanics and boat handling skills as well as proven ability to improve the results of the skipper(s) with whom he or she sails (crew).
- Four Hoyas earned All-America honors following a shortened 2019-20 season.
- Sophomore Annabelle Ayer was named an ICSA Crew All-American while Jack Hogan earned honorable mention honors.
- Sean Segerblom was named an ICSA Coed Skipper All-American while William Logue picked up honorable mention accolades.
- Segerblom was one of two finalists for the Everett B. Morris Award that goes to the Marlow Ropes College Sailor of the Year.
2019-20 ICSA HALL OF FAME
- Head Coach Michael J. Callahan was the recipient of the Graham Hall Award for Outstanding Service by a College Sailing Professional, an award that marks his induction into the ICSA Hall of Fame.
