WASHINGTON – Five members of the Georgetown University men's golf team were named second wave Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America on Tuesday. Recent graduates

Will O'Neill earned the accolade.
"Eduardo, Patrick, Hardin, Taso and Will embody what it means to be a successful student-athlete," Head Coach
Tommy Hunter said. "Their commitment to excellence was ever present in the classroom and on the golf course."
A total of 1,018 players across all three NCAA divisions, the NAIA and NJCAA earned the award. Of the 404 honorees in the second wave, 194 players were Division I selections, 87 in Division II, 81 in Division III, 27 from NAIA, and 11 from NJCAA. 2020 marks the first year in which sophomores are eligible for the award.
To be eligible for Srixon/Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar status an individual must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically in Division I, II, III, and NAIA, or receiving their Associate's Degree and in their last year of athletic eligibility in the NJCAA. In addition, they must have a stroke-average under 76.0 in Division I, 78.0 in Division II, 78.0 in NAIA and 79.0 in Division III, 77.0 in NJCAA, and maintain a minimum cumulative career grade-point average of 3.2. For 2019-20 only, they must participate in 40% of the team's competitive rounds.
Eduardo Blochtein (B'20), Delray Beach, Fla.
• Posted a 73.07 stroke average over 15 rounds in five events.
• Had two top-10 finishes, caring a 4-under par 209 at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate to tie for ninth overall.
• Tied for 10th overall at Villanova's Wildcat Invitational with a 2-over par 215.
• Also recorded a top-20 showing at the 35th Georgetown Invitational with a 4-over par 217 to tie for 15th.
Hardin Councill (C'20), High Point, N.C.
• Notched a 73.13 stroke average over 15 round in five events.
• Never carded in double-figures above par in any tournament.
• Finished tied for 13th at Villanova's Wildcat Invitational with a 3-over par 216.
• Shot even-par at the ODU/OBX Invitational to tie for 28th overall.
Patrick DiPasquale (B'20), Rochester, N.Y.
• Played in four of Georgetown's five tournaments in the fall, posting a 73.50 stroke average over 12 rounds.
• Recorded a 1-over par 217 to tie for 23rd at NC State's Wolfpack Intercollegiate.
• Shot a 2-over par 215 at the ODU/OBX Intercollegiate to tie for 34th overall.
Taso Scilaris (C'20), Bethesda, Md.
• Posted a 74.83 stroke average over six rounds in two events.
• Shot a 1-over par 217 at the VCU Invitational to tie for 32nd overall.
• Closed out the season at the 35th Georgetown Intercollegiate to tie for 60th overall.
Will O'Neill, Jr., Morristown, N.J.
• Played in three tournaments in the year, posting a 75.67 stroke average over nine rounds.
• Opened the season at the VCU Invitational with an 11-over par 227.
• Added a 10-over par 223 at the Wildcat Invitational to tie for 26th overall.
• Closed out the Fall at the 35th Georgetown Intercollegiate with an 18-over par 231 to finish tied for 57th.
