WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team heads back out on the road for a BIG EAST Conference matchup at Butler on Wednesday night. Tipoff at Hinkle Fieldhouse is set for 7 p.m. ET.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- Last time out, Georgetown fell to Marquette 64-60 on Saturday night at McDonough Arena.
- Jahvon Blair led the Hoyas with 20 points for his fifth 20-point effort of the season.
- Qudus Wahab recorded his fourth double-double of the season, finishing with 13 points and 10 rebounds. He also added a game-high three blocks.
- Dante Harris paced the offense with a career-best five assists, while Jamari Sibley scored a career-high seven points off the bench.
- Blair leads the Hoyas in scoring with 19.0 ppg, which ranks fourth in the BIG EAST. He is third in free throw percentage (85.0) and fifth in 3-pointers per game (2.8).
- Wahab (12.7 ppg), Jamorko Pickett (10.9) and Donald Carey (10.1) are also in double figures, while Wahab and Pickett are tied for second in the league with 8.4 rpg.
- Wahab is second in the BIG EAST at 2.7 bpg and GU leads in rebounding (43.6 rpg).
SCOUTING BUTLER
- Butler comes in with a 2-5 record, including a 1-3 mark in BIG EAST play. The Bulldogs have lost two straight, falling at Providence and Seton Hall last week.
- As a team, Butler is scoring 64.3 ppg and shooting 42.4 percent. Opponents are averaging 70.6 ppg and shooting 49.6 percent from the floor.
- Aaron Thompson is scoring 17.5 ppg, but has missed the last five games due to injury. Jair Bolden (13.6 ppg) and Chuck Harris (11.1 ppg) round out those in double figures.
- Bolden is atop the BIG EAST with 3.0 3-pointers/game. Bryce Nze leads Butler on the glass with 7.0 rpg, while Myles Tate is pacing the offense with 3.0 apg.
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
- Wednesday will be the 17th all-time meeting between the two teams, with all but two coming since Butler joined the BIG EAST prior to the 2013-14 season. Georgetown holds a 9-7 advantage in the series.
- The squads split their two matchups last season, with each team winning on the road. The Bulldogs came away with a 69-64 win in Washington, D.C., while the Hoyas responded with a 73-66 victory in Indianapolis over then-No. 19/20 Butler.
- In six career games against Butler, Pickett and Blair are averaging 8.2 and 8.0 ppg, respectively. In his two games as a freshman, Wahab averaged 10.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg.
- Patrick Ewing is 3-3 in his coaching career against the Bulldogs.
