Hoyas Place Eighth At Yale Invitational

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team finished in eighth place with a 54-hole score of 60-over par 912 at the Yale Invitational. The Hoyas carded rounds of 305, 295 and 312 at the Yale Golf Course par 71 5,972 yards. 

HOYA RESULTS

  • Junior Lauren May was GU's top scorer as she tied for eighth place with scores of 68, 71 and 80.

  • Freshman Sophie Dalfonsi carded scores of 81, 73 and 84 in three rounds of play. 

  • Sophomore Megan Gormley finished tied for 36th place with a total score of 234.

  • Senior Kaitlyn Lees finished tied for 23rd place with scores of  78, 76 and 73 for a total of 227.

  • Junior Elena Zheng carded scores of 79, 77 and 80. 

TOURNAMENT LEADERS

  • Boston College finished in first place (+14, 886), Boston University and the tournament host Bulldogs tied for second (+25, 877).

  • The Hoyas finished two strokes behind Harvard (+58, 910) and 39 strokes ahead of the Columbia "B" team (+99, 880).

UP NEXT

 The Blue & Gray will continue on to the Blue Hen Invitational the weekend of October 16-17.
