WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's tennis team will have one student-athlete, Avantika Willy, competing at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Atlantic Region Championship this weekend. The super-regional tournament will be hosted by the University of Virginia and matches will be held in Charlottesville, Virginia from October 22-24.
Willy qualified with her performance at the ITA Atlantic Region Championship after winning three matches and advancing to the quarterfinals during the weekend of October 1-3. Willy faces Marta Perez Mur from the University of Maryland in her first match on Friday.
Live stats for the match will be available on GUHoyas.com, and the matches will be livestreamed by the University of Virginia throughout the weekend.
