About the Hoyas
  • Georgetown is 9-0 to start the 2021 season and is coming off of a commanding 4-2 victory over Seton Hall, the reigning BIG EAST Champions, on Wednesday evening in New Jersey. The Hoyas scored four first-half goals to cruise to victory on FS1.
  • The first goal of the game came in the 18th minute as senior Zach Riviere took it into the middle and shot. The ball was saved, but Riviere stayed with it and fired the rebound back in to make it 1-0.
  • Just four minutes later, it was senior Joe DaLuz getting into the act as classmate Sean Zawadzki fed him the ball as DaLuz went down the left side. He controlled it and finished to give GU the 2-0 advantage.
  • DaLuz returned the favor to junior Will Sands with 37:00 on the clock as he passed it to Sands who took it down the left side himself and found the back of the net tallying the third goal of the night.
  • In the final minute of first-half action, sophomore Marlon Tabora sent a free kick into the box which found the head of junior Daniel Wu as he tallied his first goal of the season making it 4-0 at the break.
  • On Monday, junior Stefan Stojanovic was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week marking the first award of his career after scoring a pair of goals in the victory over DePaul.
About the Bulldogs

  • Georgetown is the second opponent the Bulldogs have played this season that was ranked No. 1 at the time of the match as BU lost to then-No. 1 Indiana 1-0 on August 31.
  • Wilmer Cabrera Jr. and Jack Streberger lead the Bulldogs in points with six and five, respectively.
