WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's and women's swimming & diving teams wrapped its fall slate with a solid overall performance at the Terrier Invitational in Boston. The two squads combined for a slew of podium marks and three shattered records over the three-day event with
Erin Hood breaking two on her own.
Overall, the men's team finished the weekend with 1433 total points for a second-place finish, sitting behind Boston College with 1552 points. The women's squad matched UMass for fourth place with 805.5 points.
Hoya Highlights
- Drew Carbone snagged the top spot in the 200 back by nearly four seconds, securing the second-leading time in the program history.
- Will Barao took home the silver in the 1,650 freestyle with a time of 15:37.61, the third-best time in the team's existence.
- Hood earned a second-place mark in the 200 breast with a 2:18.51, also recording the second-best time in program history.
- Men's Carson Temple and women's Kylie Stronko captured third place in the 200 breast and 200 back, respectively.
- The men's 400 free relay denied Boston College of a podium sweep in the 400 free relay, beating out the Eagles by less than 0.2 seconds
On Deck
The Hoyas ended their fall slate and will return to action in 2022 with a trio of home meets against Johns Hopkins (Jan. 21), George Washington (Jan. 22) and Seton Hall (Jan. 29) at McCarthy Pool.

All Georgetown swimming & diving home meets are currently scheduled to take place at McCarthy Pool.
