WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team is less than two weeks away from its season opener when the Hoyas play host to Marist on September 4 at Cooper Field. As the squad works hard in preseason camp, GUHoyas.com will take an in-depth look at each of the team's position groups, with this edition featuring the quarterbacks.
"The quarterback room at Georgetown is deep, but inexperienced," said Offensive Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach
Rob Spence. "
Joseph Brunell provides key experience from 2019 and is the senior that sets the tone for a room full of talent. It will be fun to see how this group will emerge in the future."
The position is the deepest its been in recent years, with seven quarterbacks suiting up during preseason camp. Leading the way is
Joseph Brunell, who is returning for a fifth season on the Hilltop. He is joined by seniors
Lorenzo Linsey and
Jack Elliott as well as juniors
Pierce Holley and
Tyler Knoop who all bring valuable experience and leadership to the group. Additionally, sophomore
Connor Katz and freshman
Dorian Nowell will look to make an immediate impact in their first season in a Hoya uniform.
