WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team continued its winning ways with a 3-0 (25-14, 25-20, 25-17) victory over visiting Maryland Eastern Shore to open the Dig the District Tournament on Friday evening. The Hoyas won their third-straight match of the season to improve to 4-3 overall.
"Our depth showed again tonight," Head Coach
David Heller said. "We had great first collegiate performances from Ruth and Lydia. Ruth delivered the game winner in set one and Lydia took care of the final point in set two. The team communication stayed consistent regardless of who was on the court. Lilly, Ellie and Emma all added value at our setter position today. They played some great defense. Our serving came on really strong with Abby, Kelly and Ellen all going on big runs. It was a really fun match and great to play at home again in front of a great crowd."
