NEW YORK – The Georgetown University men's basketball team fell 88-69 to the St. John's University Red Storm on Sunday evening at Madison Square Garden. The Hoyas are 6-8 overall with a 0-3 mark in BIG EAST action while the Johnnies improve to 10-5 with a 2-2 BIG EAST record.

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
- Kaiden Rice led all Hoyas in double figures with 19 points on five 3-pointers to go along with five rebounds. This game marked the sixth time he has made five or more triples in a game this season and the first since Syracuse (12/11).
- Aminu Mohammed turned in 13 points and 12 rebounds for his BIG EAST-leading sixth double-double of the season.
- Dante Harris added 13 points and a team-high four assists through 32 minutes of work.
- As a team, the Hoyas outrebounded (39-32) the Johnnies and held the edge in second-chance points (22-12).
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Mohammed slammed home the first points of the game for GU before a corner triple by Rice knotted the game at five (17:51).
- Tyler Beard completed an and-one after driving hard to his left, putting the Hoyas on a 5-0 run to tie the game at 10 (15:14).
- Mohammed halted the SJU run with an emphatic dunk before Harris drained a deep triple to pull GU to within six, 26-20 (9:20).
- Rice and Harris each hit from distance in the final minute to head into the break trailing, 43-32.
- In the opening minutes of the second, Mohammed scored the first six points for the Hoyas (17:42).
- Ighoefe broke through two defenders underneath the basket for a slam before Rice's triple propelled GU on a 5-0 run (16:14).
- Harris cut into the Johnnies' advantage with five unanswered points before another Rice trey put the Hoyas on an 8-0 streak and pulled GU to within 11, 65-54 (10:51).
- The Hoyas continued to chip away at the SJU lead, scoring seven unanswered to shrink its deficit to seven (8:55), but St. John's pulled away down the stretch to seal the victory, 88-69.
