WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's basketball team fell 92-64 to the visiting Marquette University Golden Eagles on Friday evening inside Capital One Arena. With the setback, the Hoyas sit at 6-6, 0-1 BIG EAST while MU improves to 10-6 with a 2-3 BIG EAST mark.

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
- Collin Holloway led three Hoya scorers in double figures with 17 points and 7-of-8 shooting from the free throw line. The sophomore also recorded five rebounds, three assists and a block in 32 minutes of action.
- Dante Harris added 15 points with a career-high 9-of-10 shooting from the free throw line. The sophomore guard dished out a pair of assists in 35 minutes of action.
- Aminu Mohammed rounded out GU's scorers in double figures with 12 points while registering six boards and three assists.
- GU went 20-for-24 from the charity stripe for an 83.3 percent efficiency, besting Marquette's 5-of-9 (55.6%) from the line.
- Georgetown forced more turnovers (16-15) and pulled down more offensive boards (17-13) than Marquette.
- Six Hoyas recorded at least one steal while Harris, Holloway and Tyler Beard recorded two apiece.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Malcolm Wilson scored the opening bucket for the fourth-consecutive contest off a pass from Mohammed.
- The Hoyas scored five unanswered points on a jumper by Harris and a trey from Rice to take a 7-4 edge (17:10).
- Both teams exchanged blows before a 6-0 run led by two Mohammed layups pulled GU to within one, 22-21 (9:18).
- Georgetown ended the half on an 11-0 stretch and outscored the Golden Eagles, 13-3, over the final four minutes to trail, 45-37, at the break.
- The Blue & Gray picked up where it left off with a 7-2 run to open the second, cutting the deficit to just three, 47-44 (17:14).
- Marquette pulled away over the next 10 minutes and led, 74-50, at the midway mark of the second.
- Georgetown could not find the answer as the Golden Eagles sealed the 92-64 victory.
