WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's women's golf team is currently in sixth place at the Pirate Collegiate Classic, hosted by East Carolina University, following two rounds of play. The team posted a 298 in the first round and a 297 in the second round for a score of 595 (+19) following Monday's action. The Hoyas will conclude play on the par-72, 6,072-yard course at the Greenville Country Club in Greenville, North Carolina.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gabriella Gilrowski turned in her fifth- and sixth-consecutive rounds of under-par play this fall, going back to the final round of the Coeur d'Alene Collegiate Invitational, when she shot a 69 (-2). She has since shot 70 (-1), 70 (-1), 68 (-3) and today, she carded a 68 (-4) and 71 (-1). Her 4-under performance is the best of her collegiate career.
- Gilrowiski's first round saw even play and four birdies on four-consecutive holes (6-10) for a flawless 68. In the second round, the Indiana native turned in another four birdies as the junior finished the day in second place at 5-under (139).
- Megan Gormley is tied for 17th at 5-over (76-73=149) following two rounds of play. The junior posteda pair of birdies on the day, one in each round.
- Lauren May is currently tied for 28th place with a two-round score of 153 (+9, 75-78). The senior captain turned in six birdies on the day, five in the first round and one in the second.
- Angela Lee is currently tied for 35th place with a two-round score of 154 (+10, 79-75).
- Elena Zheng rounds out the Hoyas as she is currently in 59th place (+34, 86-92=178).
