WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-23, 25-19, 25-16) to visiting UConn in BIG EAST action on Friday night. The Hoyas fall to 4-18 overall and 2-9 in league play while the Huskies improve to 12-10 overall and 6-5 in BIG EAST play.
 
Hoya Highlights

• Mary Grace Goyena led Georgetown with 10 kills while Brennan Wilhite had eight and both Ruth Kayongo and Chanelle Smith had five apiece.
• Emma Plutnicki paced the offensive with 28 assists and added 16 digs for a double-double.
• Defensively, Karis Park hauled in a team-high 17 digs.
• At the net, Smith was credited with five blocks while Goyena added three..

UConn Notes

• Allie Garland and Jasmine Davis led the Huskies with 13 kills each.
• Madi Whitmore had 40 assists on the night to pace UConn.
• Defensively, Davis and Karly Berkland both had 14 digs, giving Davis a double-double. Brenna Wyman had 12 digs as well.
• At the net, Kennadie Jake-Turner, Taylor Pannell and Emma Werkmeister each had three blocks.
