WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (25-16, 25-21, 17-25, 25-17) BIG EAST decision on the road at Butler on Friday evening. The Hoyas fall to 4-13 overall and 2-4 in league play while the Bulldogs improve to 8-9 overall and 2-3 in BIG EAST action.
 
Hoya Highlights

• Giselle Williams led the Hoyas with 11 kills while Mary Grace Goyena added eight and both Brennan Wilhite and Peyton Wilhite had seven apiece.
• Emma Plutnicki had another solid match, dishing out 28 assists to go with 21 digs for a double-double.
• Karis Park was just off of Plutnicki's pace with 20 digs while Peyton Wilhite had 13, Jessica Cusi added 11 and Goyena had 10.
• At the net, Brennan Wilhite was credited with six blocks while Peyton Wilhite added five and Chanelle Smith chipped in four.

Butler Notes

• Amina Shackelford led the Bulldogs with 14 kills while Destiny Cherry added 10.
• Cora Taylor posted a double-double with 35 assists and 19 digs.
• On the back row, Jaymeson Kinley led all players with 29 digs.
• At the net, both Shackelford and Cherry had five blocks each.
