WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team battled from a 2-0 deficit but couldn't complete the comeback in a 3-2 (25-18, 25-23, 23-25, 25-27, 15-12) loss at Villanova in BIG EAST action on Thursday night. The Hoyas fall to 4-22 overall and 2-13 in league play while the Wildcats improve to 8-19 overall and 4-11 in BIG EAST play.
 
Hoya Highlights

• Peyton Wilhite led Georgetown with 21 kills and 11 digs for a double-double while Mary Grace Goyena added 15 kills and Brennan Wilhite had 11.
• Emma Plutnicki also posted a double-double with 45 assists and a team-high 23 digs.
• Defensively, Karis Park hauled in 17 digs.
• At the net, Peyton Wilhite and Vaughan Anoa'i were both credited with six blocks and Brennan Wilhite had four.

Villanova Notes

• Kiera Booth had 16 kills while Tara Garvey added 14 and Riley Homer had 12 to go with 14 digs for a double-double.
• Andrea Campos dished out 26 assists and Belle Morgan added 15.
• Defensively, Elizabeth Feczko led all players with 27 digs and Rose Crist had five blocks.
