ABOUT THE HOYAS

  • Tomas earned his sixth-consecutive Honorable Mention after compiling seven catches for a career-high 180 yards and two touchdowns. Saturday's contest marked his third-straight and sixth 100+ yard game of the season.
  • The Hoya wideout also eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career (1,028), becoming just the fourth Hoya since the program's move to FCS to accomplish the feat. He is the only player in FCS this season with 1,000+ receiving yards and also leads the nation with 79 receptions and 8.8 catches per game.
  • Cadet secured his first career Honorable Mention after a stellar performance on Saturday, recording GU's first pick-six since 2018 and taking a 31-yard interception to the house for his Patriot League-leading fifth of the season. The freshman corner also tied Justin Fonteneaux with a team-high eight tackles.
  • The Hoya freshman ranks second in FCS with 125 return yards on interceptions and his five picks are tied with three others for second.
  • Quarterback Pierce Holley is tied for Kyle Nolan's 2015 single-season GU record with 238 completions this year.
  • The senior passer is ranked fourth in FCS in completions per game, averaging 26.3 while boasting a conference-leading 66.8% completion rating for 16th in the nation. His 2,420 passing yards are second in the Patriot League and 14th in FCS.

ABOUT THE BISON
  • Bucknell has dropped two straight games since stunning Lehigh with a game-winning field goal in the final minute to top the Mountain Hawks 19-17 on the road.
  • The Bison defense has gained 18 turnovers this year (13th in FCS), 12 of which have been interceptions (10th).
  • Head Coach Dave Cecchini is in fourth year with the Bison and remains the Patriot League's single-season leader in touchdown receptions (15) during his playing career with Lehigh.

THE MATCHUP
  • The Hoyas and the Bison will meet for the 34th time in program history and the Hoyas will look to win its second-straight contest against Bucknell at Cooper Field.
  • Georgetown welcomes Cecchini's team to the Hilltop for the first time since 2018 where the Blue & Gray knocked off the Bison 14-3 behind a pair of touchdowns by Gunther Johnson, including one thrown to him from Herman Moultrie III. GU held the visiting team to just 13 yards on the ground while posting seven sacks for a loss of 42 yards and 11 tackles for a loss of 49 yards.
  • The Blue & Gray also picked up a win last season on the road, picking up a 29-21 victory behind 16 unanswered points in the final 20 minutes of the game. Moultrie and Holley scored a combined three touchdowns against BU.
