WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's squash team put together a pair of dominant performances to open the 2022-23 season on Saturday in Annapolis, Maryland. The No. 22 Hoyas defeated Boston University 9-0 in the season opener before beating No. 27 Denison 8-1 later in the day.
Hoya Notes
- Georgetown swept flights 2-8 in both matches on the day. The Terriers did not field a full flight in the opener and defaulted in the ninth position.
- Nina Thomas, Caroline Wilcox, Sydney Bramen, Arunachlam Vedikammeyamai, Sarah Conner and Nina Flinn each picked up a pair of victories on the day.
- Katie Hennessey earned her first collegiate victory in the win over Boston U. while Isha Rao and Eena Yu picked up their first wins against Denison. Margaret Rand also went undefeated, winning in the main flight against the Terriers and in an exhibition match against the Big Red.

The Hoyas head to New England next weekend to face Connecticut College, Wesleyan and Mount Holyoke.
