WASHINGTON – The No. 1 seeded Georgetown women's soccer team took down No. 2 seeded Xavier on Sunday afternoon at the Maryland SoccerPlex to win the 2022 BIG EAST Championship for the third-consecutive year. Georgetown is now 14-1-5 overall and has gone undefeated for over 10 weeks.
Head Coach Dave Nolan
"We did a good job of overall minimizing the number of times they put us under pressure in the first half. In the second half, we changed our system going with three up top instead of two to pin them into their half which I thought made a difference. I didn't really feel they got out in the second half. This is our third Championship win in a row and seventh-consecutive appearance for the girls."
