Game Recap: Men's Basketball |

Mohammed Nabs Ninth Double-Double, Hoyas Fall at No. RV/23 Marquette

MILWAUKEE – Despite a second double-double from Aminu Mohammed (13P, 17R) in as many games, the Georgetown University's men's basketball team (6-19, 0-14 BE) fell 77-66 to the No. RV/23 Marquette University Golden Eagles (17-9, 9-6 BE) at Fiserv Forum on Wednesday night.

ON THE RECORD
"I thought our guys fought. We put forth a great effort. Unfortunately, it didn't come out the way we would have liked. If we did the things we did in the second half in the first half, it would be a much different game. There was a point that we were right there with them, just like every game." - Head Coach Patrick Ewing on tonight's game

"He had 17 rebounds… He affected the game in a lot of different ways…. There were a lot of positives out of his effort." Ewing on Aminu Mohammed

It marks the second time this season the Hoya freshman has posted a double-double in back-to-back games. • Dante Harris rounded out those in double figures and matched Carey with 14 points, five helpers and four boards.

  • Georgetown outrebounded (45-36) and outscored the Golden Eagles in second chance points (17-7).
  • GU held Marquette to 16.7% shooting from deep (2-12) in the second half, outscoring them 35-29 in the final 20 minutes.

HOW IT HAPPENED
