Swimming & Diving Medal Count Hits 17 on Day Three of BIG EAST Championships

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – The Georgetown University's men's and women's swimming & diving teams secured nine medals, including a trio of golds on day three of the BIG EAST Championships in East Meadow, New York on Friday evening. The Hoyas have brought home 17 medals through three days of competition.

"For our women's team, this was maybe the best session we've had in my six years here. To have NCAA "B" cuts by Erin Hood and Genevieve Youngman, finishing in the top two and winning an event, was by far the best session we've ever had. Super proud of them and the resilience they've shown. The guys really stepped up this morning, which put us in a good spot tonight to get a little bit closer to Xavier. We feel really good about where we're at and really excited about how we swam tonight. We are really proud of the group, the energy they brought and the confidence they have in themselves and each other. Excited to see what we do tomorrow." – Head Coach Jack Leavitt
