Bolden-Morris Named to BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

WASHINGTON – Georgetown women's basketball graduate student Milan Bolden-Morris was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday as announced by the league office. The Hoyas are coming off of a 2-0 weekend to conclude the regular season before heading into the BIG EAST Tournament presented by JEEP Brands.

  • Bolden-Morris had a big week for the Hoyas (9-18, 4-15 BIG EAST) averaging 12.3 ppg to go along with 3.0 rpg and 5.0 3-point field goals per game.
  • In win at Xavier, she led the Hoyas with 21 points hitting seven 3-pointers marking the first time a Hoya has hit that total since Assistant Coach Sugar Rodgers in 2011.
  • Bolden-Morris also managed two rebounds and as many blocks in the game.
  • In the victory over Butler on Sunday, the grad student had 11 points in 32 minutes of action and hit three 3-pointers to go along with four rebounds.
  • Bolden-Morris is leading the Hoyas in scoring this season averaging 12.6 ppg along with 4.4 rpg to rank fourth on the squad.
  • She has hit an impressive 78 3-pointers this season tying her four fourth all-time with Sugar Rodgers.
  • This is her third-career nod to the honor roll and the fourth of the season for the Blue & Gray.

  • The Hoyas have completed the regular season but must wait for outcomes on Tuesday to solidify BIG EAST Tournament seeding. Georgetown will be either the ninth or 10th seed in the tournament beginning on Friday, March 4 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Connecticut.
