WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University's men's basketball team (6-15, 0-10 BE) fell 71-52 to the No. 15/15 Providence College Friars (20-2, 10-1 BE) on Sunday afternoon at Capital One Arena. The game marked the 1,500th game called for Voice of the Hoyas Rich Chvotkin.

HOYA HIGHLIGHTS
- Aminu Mohammed scored a team-best 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the floor to go along with four boards, three steals and a pair of assists.
- Donald Carey added 11 points, including an 8-of-8 showing from the line, while recording three rebounds and three helpers.
- The Hoyas forced 20 Friar turnovers, one shy of a season high (21) set against Howard (12/15).
- Georgetown also registered double-digit steals in a game for the fourth time this season with 11.
- The Hoyas recorded four blocks on the day and held the 24-18 edge in the paint.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- A pair of buckets at the rim from Mohammed and a Holloway triple gave the Hoyas an early 7-5 lead (15:47).
- Rice hit a corner trey to knot the game at 12 before a quick 5-0 run put the Blue & Gray ahead, 17-12 (10:17).
- Mohammed inbounded off a PC defender's back and slammed one home to take a 23-20 advantage (4:26).
- The Hoyas continued to pressure the Friars and took a 30-27 lead into halftime.
- Carey drained a trey in the corner, drew a foul and completed the four-point play, lifting the Hoyas to a 36-34 edge (16:41).
- As the Hoyas hit a cold spell in the second half, the 15th-ranked Friars pulled away to knock off Georgetown 71-52.
