Hoyas Tie for Fifth at Babs Steffens Invitational

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team finished tied for fifth place with a 54-hole score of 51-over par 915 at the conclusion of the Babs Steffens Invitational. The two-day tournament was played at the par-72 Hills Course at LPGA International.

HOYA RESULTS

  • Senior Kaitlyn Lees was GU's top scorer as she finished in 16th place with scores of 80, 77 and 70. 

  • Sophomore Megan Gormley tied for 19th place with scores of 72, 81 and 76.

  • Junior Elena Zheng finished in 30th place with scores of 81, 76 and 76. 

  • Junior Esther Park finished in 32nd place with scores of 78, 78 and 79. 

  • Junior Lauren May tied for 33rd with scores of 76, 84 and 76. 

TOURNAMENT LEADERS

  • Campbell finished in first place (+17, 881), Texas A&M Corpus Christi and Boston University both finished in second place (+40, 904) to round out the top three.

  • The Hoyas finished even with Fairleigh Dickinson (+51, 915) and 12 strokes ahead of Seminole State and host Stetson (+63, 927).

UP NEXT

The Blue & Gray will host the 2022 Hoya Invitational at Woodmont Country Club the weekend of April 9-10.
