Georgetown Places Sixth at Hoya Invitational

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's golf team finished in sixth place with a 54-hole score of +69 933 at the conclusion of the 2022 Hoya Invitational. The two-day tournament was played at the par 72, 6,125-yard Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, Maryland.

HOYA RESULTS

  • Senior Kaitlyn Lees finished tied for 19th with scores of 79, 79 and 76. 

  • Sophomore Megan Gormley finished tied for 19th with scores of 82, 73 and 79.

  • Sophomore Gabriella Gilrowski finished tied for 19th with scores of 81, 73 and 80.

  • Junior Esther Park also finished tied for 19th with scores of 76, 77 and 81. 

  • Junior Lauren May finished tied for 34th with scores of 80, 80 and 80. 

  • Junior Elena Zheng played as an individual and carded scores of 86, 85 and 83.

TOURNAMENT LEADERS

  • Boston University won the tournament  (+51, 915), followed by Harvard in second (+55, 919) and Penn (+62, 926) to round out the top three. 

  • The Hoyas finished ahead of Quinnipiac (+70, 934) and behind Yale (+65, 929).

UP NEXT

The Blue & Gray will travel to the BIG EAST Championships in Pine Mountain, Georgia the weekend of April 21-23.
