Stern’s Six RBIs and McCarthy’s 11 Strikeouts Lift Hoyas to 14-8 Win at Butler

INDIANAPOLIS - Second baseman Ethan Stern and starter Nolan McCarthy dominated in a 14-8 victory over Butler at Bulldog Park on Thursday. GU moved to 21-13 overall and 3-4 in BIG EAST play while the Bulldogs fell to 15-19 on the year with a 1-3 conference record.

"That was a great win tonight on the road. Nolan McCarthy gave us an unbelievable start and that's what we needed. Offensively, what a day by Cam Meyer and Ethan Stern gave us great life. Off the bench, Evan Blum had a big RBI and Michael Eze made two amazing defensive plays that changed the dynamic of the game. Credit to all of our guys for getting the win and we are looking forward to getting back out there tomorrow." - Head Coach Edwin Thompson on tonight's win
