OMAHA, Neb. - The Georgetown University baseball team dropped its Saturday contest 12-1 to the Creighton Bluejays. GU fell to 19-12 overall and 2-3 in BIG EAST play while the Bluejays jumped to 17-8 while moving to 2-0 in conference action.

- Ethan Stern drove in Georgetown's lone run of the contest, smacking an RBI double in the sixth.
- Ubaldo Lopez extended his hitting streak to seven games with a pair of base knocks on Saturday.
- Jake Hyde crossed home plate for the team's lone tally.
- Evan Blum also tallied a single against the Bluejays.
- Connor Udell and Jack Weeks each tossed a pair of scoreless frames out of the bullpen, combining to allow just three hits and striking out three.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Creighton scored four in the opening frame before plating four more in the second for an 8-0 lead.
- After a pair of blank innings, Jack Weeks worked himself out of trouble in the fifth, stranding runners on second and third.
- Georgetown broke up the Bluejay no-hitter and shutout in the sixth. After a Lopez single to end the no-no, Stern drove a double down the left field line to cut into the CU lead (8-1).
- The Bluejays went on to score four unanswered runs over the final four innings, knocking off the Hoyas 12-1.

Georgetown will return to action on Sunday, April 10 when it takes on Creighton in the series finale with first pitch slated for noon ET.
