Nolan Matsko Sends GU to Prasco Park with Walk-off Double in Extras on Senior Day

ROCKVILLE, Md. - Senior Nolan Matsko punched Georgetown's ticket to the BIG EAST Tournament with a walk-off double, knocking off No. 16 UConn 14-13 in 10 innings on Senior Day at Shirley Povich Field on Friday. The Hoyas jumped to 31-22 overall with a 10-10 BIG EAST record while the Huskies dropped to 43-12 overall and 16-4 in conference action.

"Hard to describe what that game meant to our program, our fans, our alumni. That was a program win. Winning a series against the No. 16 team in the country and to come down to three seniors on Senior Day, I am beyond proud of our guys. Andrew DeRoche came on to get the win, Tony Barreca with his hit, then Nolan Matsko to come off the bench and walked them off. We found a way to win and I could not be more proud of our guys to get that win on Senior Day."  - Head Coach Edwin Thompson on tonight's game
