WASHINGTON – Georgetown University women's tennis sophomore
Avantika Willy was named All-BIG EAST Second Team as announced by the league office on Thursday. Willy is the first Hoya to receive conference honors since Victoire Saperstine and Risa Nakagawa were named All-BIG EAST Conference in 2017. This marks the first player to receive All-BIG EAST honors under Head Coach
Freddy Mesmer. The Georgetown women's tennis team concluded the season 9-13 overall and 4-3 in BIG EAST play.
The All-BIG EAST women's tennis all-conference teams are made up of six at-large selections each. Coaches could not vote for their own players.

- The sophomore posted a 8-11 record as the No. 1 singles player for the Hoyas.
- Willy went 2-0 in singles matches at the 2022 BIG EAST Championship and 1-1 at the No. 3 doubles slot with junior Agata Mikos in Cayce, South Carolina.
