WASHINGTON – The No. 24/13 Hoyas beat the William & Mary Tribe 3-0 on Sunday afternoon on Shaw Field. Georgetown rises to 3-1-3 in nonconference play and the Tribe falls to 2-4-1.
Head Coach Dave Nolan
"Overall, it was quite a complete performance. We wanted to get out on top of them quickly and we did a lot of the things we wanted to score some good goals. Getting the second goal right before the break was important and to go in at half at 2-0 took a bit of the fight out of them. I challenged the girls to come out and score a third goal because 2-0 is a dangerous lead. I was very happy with the performance, we scored some great goals, our play was pretty good and we got a couple of really good performances especially against their goalkeeper who had an exceptional game."
