WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University men's golf team wrapped up play at the two-day VCU Shootout, finishing in 12th place with a 54-hole score of 10-under par 854. The Hoyas carded rounds of 278, 290 and 286 at the par 72 6,927-yard Country Club of Virginia's Tuckahoe Creek Course.
Hoya Results
- Freshman Carsten Judge dazzled for the Blue & Gray putting up the lowest score in program history by a freshman in round one with a 65.
- Judge finished tied for 25th, shooting a cumulative 6-under par across the three rounds. He turned in scores of 65, 76 and 69.
- Sophomore Max Hutter finished the tournament even par, tied for 42nd. He turned in scores of 68, 74 and 74.
- Sophomore Jacob Finard finished the tournament even par, tied for 42nd with his teammate Hutter. He turned in scores of 71, 72 and 73.
- Sophomore Conner Willett carded a 218 with back-to-back 72's in rounds two and three.
- Junior Ryan Moylan carded a 219 also with back-to-back 72's in the final two rounds.
Tournament Leaders
- VCU and Charleston Southern finished tied for first, with both teams coming in at 36-under par, followed by George Washington (-35, 829) and Rhode Island (-27, 837).
- The Hoyas finished the round at 10-under par for the second consecutive year.
