  • Joshua Tomas (7.3), Dorrian Moultrie (6.3) and Cameron Crayton (5.3) are ranked second, third and fifth, respectively, in the Patriot League in receptions per game. The three Hoyas also all sit inside the top 50 in FCS.

ABOUT THE LIONS
  • Columbia dominated Marist in its first game of 2022 last weekend, knocking off the Red Foxes 38-3 for its fifth-straight win in a season opener.
  • The Lions are coming off of a 7-3 campaign in 2021, including a win in the Empire State Bowl over Cornell.
  • Reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Year Joe Green returned under center and produced a two-touchdown game in the season opener.
  • Columbia's Al Bagnoli is in his eighth season with the team and 40th as a head coach. He is the second-winningest coach in college football with 269 wins, trailing Alabama's Nick Saban (272).

THE MATCHUP
  • Georgetown and Columbia will meet for just the ninth time in history with the Lions holding a slight 5-3 advantage over the Blue & Gray.
  • The Hoyas and the Lions have evenly split the Lou Little Trophy game (3-3) since the installment began in 2015.
  • Lou Little served as head coach and the university's athletic director, boasting an impressive 41-12-3 record and mentoring three All-Americans. OL/DL Harry Connaughton (1926), center Claude Grigsby (1927) and OL/DL/ punter Jim Mooney (1928) each went on to be inducted into the Georgetown Athletics Hall of Fame.
  • Little eventually went on to be head coach of Columbia Football for the better part of 26 years (1930-56) before being elected president of the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) and serving on the college football Rules Committee. His successes earned him induction into the College Football Foundation Hall of Fame in 1960.
