WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's volleyball team returns to the Nation's Capital to co-host the annual Dig the District Invitational with George Washington this weekend. The Hoyas host Rider and Binghamton on Friday at McDonough Arena before taking on GW on Saturday.

About the Hoyas
- Georgetown (0-6) returns to D.C. following a tough weekend at the Stony Brook Invitational. The Hoyas dropped matches to Maryland, South Florida and the host Seawolves in the tournament.
- Mary Grace Goyena leads the Hoyas with 2.95 kills per set while Giselle Williams and Ruth Kayongo add 2.80 and 2.33 kps, respectively.
- Lilly Costigan paces the offense with 7.81 assists per set while Emma Plutnicki adds 5.50 aps.
- Defensively, four Hoyas average at least two digs a frame led by Karis Park with 3.52 digs per set. Goyena adds 2.71 dps, Costigan chips in an even two digs a stanza and Jessica Cusi adds 3.67 dps in just six sets this season.
- At the net, Chanelle Smith is good for 0.75 blocks per set while Makayla Serrett and Brennan Wilhite add 0.67 and 0.64 bps, respectively.
Scouting Rider
- The Hoyas open the Dig the District Invitational against Rider on Friday at 12 p.m.
- Rider is 1-5 on the season with the lone win coming against Cleveland State.
- Morgan Romano leads the Bucs with 2.32 kills per set while Julia Slikva and Sydney Bond average 4.52 and 3.20 assists per set, respectively.
- Defensively, Pamela Loh anchors the back row with 2.55 digs per set while Slikva adds 2.05 dps.
- Georgetown and Rider have played just once before, a 3-0 Broncs victory in 2019.
Scouting Binghamton
- Georgetown hosts Binghamton on Friday at 6 p.m. to wrap up the first day of the Dig the District Invitational.
- The Bearcats are 5-1 on the season with wins over Maryland Eastern Shore, Siena, Central Connecticut State, Columbia and Saint Peter's.
- Tsvetelina Ilieva leads Binghamton with 3.10 kps while Giulia Bonifacio adds 3.00 kps.
- The Bearcats run dual setters with Lottie Scully leading the way with 5.90 aps and Jessie Bilello adding 4.36 aps.
- Defensively, Madison Konopka mans the back row with 3.85 dps while Anna Sprys has over a block per frame with 1.05 bps.
- Georgetown holds a 2-0 all-time record against Binghamton with wins over the Bearcats in 2010 and 2019.
Scouting George Washington
- The Hoyas wrap up the weekend against GW on Saturday at 1 p.m.
- GW is 2-4 on the year with wins over Long Island and NJIT.
- Elizabeth Drelling leads GW with 3.45 kps while Liv Womble adds 3.32 kps. Grace Allred paces the offense with 5.86 aps and Dilara Elmacioglu adds 3.84.
- Defensively, Bella Bowman averages a clean three digs per set while Tierra Porter averaged 1.45 blocks a set and Addie Feek adds 1.06 bps.
- Saturday's showdown with GW will be the 62nd meeting between the crosstown foes. The Hoyas trail 24-37 in the series with the last GU victory coming in 2013.
