WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University's men's and women's swimming & diving teams will host Johns Hopkins on Friday afternoon at 4 p.m. The following day the Hoyas will host crosstown opponent, George Washington, at noon. During Saturday's meet, the Hoyas will celebrate the achievements of 14 graduating student-athletes during their Senior Day celebration prior to the meet.
About the Hoyas
- The Hoyas return to action after a two-month winter break. Georgetown last competed at the Terrier Invitational on November 20.
- The men's team finished second while the women's team finished third.
- Erin Hood earned a first-place finish of 4:17.50 in the 400 IM.
- Tristan Gess captured two first-place finishes in the 3m dive.
- Bailey De Luise also finished first in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 55.36.
About the Blue Jays
- The men's team is coming off of a loss to George Washington last weekend.
- On the women's side, they enter Friday's matchup after dropping four straight meets, most recently to George Washington.
About the Colonials
- The men's and women's teams both captured a win last weekend against Johns Hopkins. Combined the Colonials won 20 of the 28 events, adding five podium sweeps in swimming and two for diving.
- The men's team enters Saturday's meet with a record of 2-3, while the women enter with a record of 3-5.
