Georgetown Swimming & Diving Breaks Two Program Records at Day One of the West Virginia Invite

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University men's and women's swimming & diving team broke two program records and earned three first-place finishes during the first day of the West Virginia Invite.  

ON THE RECORD
"Georgetown swim & dive had a great first night as a team at the West Virginia Invitational. We broke two big school records on night one and had a number of great relay performances. I'm excited by how hard the team is racing and how focused they are on their process. I am looking forward to what the Hoyas can do during the next couple of nights."- Head Coach John Carroll after night one. 

MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
  • The 200 free relay team of Grant Closson, Daren Chen, Troy Keen and Owen Watkins captured third place while breaking a program record with a time of 1:20.34. 
  • Watkins broke his own school record in the 50 free while capturing first place with a time of 19.44.
  • Isaac Holtham finished in third place in the 200 IM with a time of 1:49.13.
