Hoyas to Compete in First Home Meet Against American

WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University swimming & diving team will take on American University in its first home meet of the season on Friday, October 12. The meet will begin at 4 p.m at the McCarthy Pool.

ABOUT THE HOYAS:
  • Georgetown will be seeking its third straight victory of the season after capturing wins in the Potomac Relays on September 22 and at Howard University last weekend.
  • At Howard, the men's team took first place with a score of 125-99 while the women captured the victory with a score of 127-97. Both teams recorded seven first-place finishes.
  • Erin Hood earned two first-place finishes at the meet, winning in the 500 free (5:07.54) and the 100 breaststroke (1:05.35).
  • Shaun Kronenwetter captured his first win as a Hoya in the 50 free with a time of 21.11
  • In their first home meet of the season, the Hoyas will be looking to build on their success on Saturday.
