WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University football team (4-3, 2-0 PL) battled the rain to capture its first ever victory in Bethlehem against Lehigh 17-7. The Hoyas improve to 2-0 in league play while the Mountain Hawks move to 0-2.
ON THE RECORD
"Anytime you can go on the road and come here to Lehigh and get a win is a great day. Kids really embraced the tough weather today and came out and played hard the whole time. We talked to the guys all week about the next man up mentality because we have some injuries. The guys that stepped up and replaced them did a great job. I am very proud of our team and how they came back from that tough loss last week against Penn and earned another Patriot League victory at Lehigh, which is a first in program history." - Head Coach
Rob Sgarlata on today's win.
