No. 8/13 Georgetown Hosts UNC Wilmington on Tuesday

WASHINGTON – The No. 8/13 Georgetown University men's soccer team will close out the home portion of the regular season on Tuesday hosting the UNC Wilmington Seahawks at Shaw Field. Kickoff is slated for 2 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network presented by Invesco QQQ on FloSports with Georgetown men's soccer alums Dan Helfrich and Tom Greaser back in the broadcast booth for their 19th season.

About the Hoyas
  • Georgetown is sitting at 9-2-2 overall and 5-1-1 in BIG EAST Conference play after playing to a 1-1 draw with St. John's on Saturday afternoon. 
  • The Hoyas have already secured a BIG EAST Championship berth for the Blue & Gray marking the 29th in program history.

  • Senior Marlon Tabora is ranked 28th in the country with his 0.50 assists per game and is second in the BIG EAST. Sergeant is right behind him with 0.46 assists per game to sit at fifth in the league and 42nd nationally.
  • In goal, Ryan Schewe has played a majority of the minutes with 20 saves and a 1.00 goals-against average for the year which makes him second in the league.
  • Tenzing Manske has appeared in four games and has 13 saves to go along with a 1.25 goals-against average and three shutouts.
About the Seahawks
  • UNC Wilmington is 6-4-4 on the season and 1-3-3 in CAA play.
  • The team is coming off of a scoreless draw against Delaware on Senior Day on Saturday.
  • The last victory was a 2-0 win over UNC Greensboro on October 10.
