WASHINGTON – Georgetown junior defender Maximus Jennings and sophomore forward Jacob Murrell both earned nods to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Tuesday in the BIG EAST Conference's final set of weekly awards for the season. The Hoyas went 2-0 this past week and 1-0 in league play to clinch the 2023 BIG EAST Regular Season Championship and the top seed in the upcoming postseason tournament. It marked the ninth regular season championship in program history.

BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

• In a midweek nonconference tilt with UNC Wilmington, Jennings tallied the final goal in a 4-1 Hoya victory.
• He also scored the first goal in GU's win at Marquette.
• Jennings has five goals and one assists for 11 points on the season to rank fourth on the team.
• He has also been a part of GU's six shutouts this year.
• This is the third honor roll nod for Jennings this season, he was also named the Defensive Player of the Week on 10/9.

• Murrell had a goal in each of Georgetown's wins last week including the game winner against Marquette to clinch the regular season title.
• He is currently leading the Hoyas with 11 goals and four assists for 26 points on the year.
• This is the second nod of the season for Murrell, he was also named the Offensive Player of the Week on 9/25.
• It's also the eighth and ninth honor roll awards for the Hoyas this year.

• The semifinal and final will be played at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Maryland. The two semifinal games are scheduled for Thursday, November 9, while the championship game will be Sunday, November 12.
