WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's women's volleyball program (11-5, 2-2) will face Providence (6-10, 0-4) this Friday and UConn (5-11, 0-4) this Saturday. The Hoyas are coming off a 1-1 weekend that saw them win 3-1 over Butler and fall 2-3 to Xavier.

About the Hoyas:
- Mary Grace Goyena is coming off of a BIG EAST Honor Roll week, scoring 35 kills and 4.44 points per set.
- Star graduate student Peyton Wilhite leads the Hoyas with 3.20 kills per set, ninth highest in the BIG EAST.
- Freshman setter Emily Wen is fourth in the conference with 9.58 assists per set.
- The Hoyas rank second in the BIG EAST in opponent hitting percentage at .155%. Kamryn Lee-Caracci and Makayla Serrett lead the team at the net with 0.97 and 0.85 blocks per set, respectively.
Scouting Providence:
- The Friars are coming off of an 0-2 weekend that saw them fall 0-3 to DePaul and Marquette at home. They've dropped five straight dating back to a 3-0 win over Merrimack College on September 15.
- Providence is extremely dangerous off the serve. They lead the BIG EAST with 1.76 aces per set. Sammie Ruggles is second individually with .46 aces per set and Jiji Lykins is third with .39 aces per set.
- Defensive specialist Savannah Ivie is seventh in the BIG EAST with 3.64 digs per set.
Scouting UConn:
- UConn went 0-2 this past weekend, falling 1-3 to Marquette and 2-3 to DePaul.
- Karly Berkland is a threat on both ends for the Huskies. She is ninth in the BIG EAST in digs per set and fourth in aces per set.
- Sophomore Emma Werkmeister leads UConn with 3.02 kills per set.
