WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's women's volleyball program (12-6, 3-3) defeated the UConn Huskies (5-13, 0-6) in four sets (16-25, 25-22, 25-19, 25-23). After falling in the first set the Hoyas took the next three to secure a comeback win at home.
The Hoyas split their third BIG EAST weekend following Friday's 2-3 loss to Providence to move to 3-3. The Huskies now move to 0-6 is the conference.
Hoya Highlights:
- Senior Ruth Kayongo had her strongest performance of the season. She tallied a season-high 16 kills to lead all players.
- Mary Grace Goyena added 14 kills and 15 points for her fourth consecutive double-digit kill game.
- Peyton Wilhite had a game-high eight blocks as the Hoyas outblocked UConn 11-6.
UConn Notes:
- Doga Kutulu led all players with a match-high 21 digs. She also had a match-high 36 assists
- UConn will meet with Georgetown again when they host the Hoyas on November 17.

Georgetown will take on Villanova in a midweek matchup at McDonough Arena on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
