WASHINGTON – Georgetown men's basketball junior Dontrez Styles was named to the BIG EAST Weekly on Monday, as announced by the league office in New York. It is the first honor roll nod of the season for the Blue & Gray and the first of his career for the Kinston, North Carolina product.
 
DONTREZ STYLES (JUNIOR / GUARD/FORWARD / 6-6 / 212)

• In a 2-1 week for the Blue & Gray that included the Gavitt Tipoff Games and a pair of games as part of the Georgetown MTE, Styles led the Hoyas averaging 21.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game in 38.3 minutes per game.
• He went 20-for-40 from the floor (50.0%), including a 7-for-17 (412%) from beyond the arc.
• He tallied a pair of 20+ point games that included a career-high 26 points against Mount St. Mary's on Saturday, an 83-72 win.
• The junior managed his second double-double of the season with 22 points and 11 boards against American on Sunday, an 88-83 overtime win.
• In the pair of home games, Styles tallied 48 points, 19 rebounds, five assists, two blocks and committed zero turnovers.
• This is the first nod to the honor roll for Styles, in his first season in the BIG EAST Conference.

Georgetown will be off for the Thanksgiving holiday and return to its downtown home on Saturday, November 25 to welcome Jackson State to Capital One Arena for a noon tipoff.
