Squash Hosts No. 23 Wesleyan, Faces No. 11 Dartmouth to Close Out 2023

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's squash team wraps up the fall portion of its 2023-24 schedule with a pair of matches this weekend. The 15th-ranked Hoyas will host No. 23 Wesleyan on Friday at Squash on Fire in the District before facing No. 11 Dartmouth in Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday.

Hoya Notes
  • Georgetown picked up its first win of the season with a 9-0 sweep against No. 18 Bates as part of a 1-1 weekend in Philadelphia before the Thanksgiving break.
  • The Hoyas are currently 1-2 on the season with both setbacks coming against top-10 opponents in No. 6 Virginia and No. 8 Penn.
Scouting Wesleyan
  • Friday's home opener is set for 6:30 p.m. in the Nation's Capital.
  • The Cardinals are 2-1 on the season with wins over Brown and Vassar.
  • Eight different Wesleyan players have posted a victory so far this season, but no player has won twice.
  • Georgetown and Wesleyan have faced each other twice, both winning 6-3 in alternate years, both in Middletown, Connecticut.
  • The Cardinals won the first matchup in Georgetown's inaugural 2021-22 season while the Hoyas won last season.
Scouting Dartmouth
  • Saturday's action will be played at 3:30 p.m. at the McArthur Squash Center in Charlottesville, Virginia.
  • The Big Green opened their 2023-24 season on Wednesday with a 9-0 loss at top-ranked at Harvard in Ivy League action.
  • Georgetown and Dartmouth have played once before, a 9-0 Big Green victory in 2021-22.
Next Time Out
Following the weekend's action, the Hoyas are off until the New Year and return to action with a weekend road swing at Middlebury, Williams and Amherst the weekend of January 5-7.
