Hoyas Travel to DePaul for New Year’s Eve Showdown

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team will return to BIG EAST Conference play and travel to Chicago, Illinois to face the DePaul University Blue Demons on Sunday afternoon in a New Year's Eve matchup at Wintrust Arena. Tipoff is slated for 4 p.m. ET on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports presented by Invesco QQQ.

  • Georgetown is sitting at 10-2 overall and 0-1 in BIG EAST Conference play.
  • GU is coming off of a gritty 57-55 victory over Kennesaw State on Thursday evening to close out nonconference play and kick off a three-game road swing.
  • A heads up play from senior Kelsey Ransom and a pair of free throws sealed the victory for the Hoyas.

About the Blue Demons
  • DePaul is 9-5 overall and 1-0 in BIG EAST play.
  • The Blue Demons are coming off of a big 77-39 victory over Alcorn State on Thursday evening at Wintrust Arena.
  • Freshman guard Shakara McCline led three players in double figures with 13 points while Michelle Sidor and Kate Clarke added 12 apiece.
  • DePaul is led by Anaya Peoples who is averaging 19.3 ppg as well as 8.1 rpg, but did not play in the last contest.
