WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's basketball team will head out for a pair of road games this week. On Wednesday, the Blue & Gray will travel to Indianapolis, Indiana to take on the Butler University Bulldogs at historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. The opening tip is slated for 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast live on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloSports.

- Georgetown (12-13, 5-11 BIG EAST) lost a close one 67-59 to the then-No. 4/4 UConn Huskies at the Entertainment and Sports Arena on Saturday evening.
- The Hoyas were within a possession in the final minutes, but could not get past the nationally-ranked Huskies.
- For her efforts against UConn and in a loss to then-No. 15/18 Villanova, freshman Kennedy Fauntleroy was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Monday for the sixth time this season.
- Fauntleroy was the highest scoring freshman in the BIG EAST last week, averaging 17.5 points off 50-percent shooting against a pair of ranked opponents.
- Against the Wildcats, the rookie guard had 11 points, eight rebounds, two assists and two steals.
- She followed that with a game-high 24 points and five steals against UConn. Fauntleroy shot over 70 percent (5-7) from three on the week, including a 4-of-5 mark against the Huskies.
- This is her sixth BIG EAST Freshman of the Week honor making her one of just three players in Georgetown history to earn this award six or more times during their rookie season. Natalie Butler captured the honor 10 times during the 2013-14 campaign, and WNBA All-Star Rebekkah Brunson was a six-time winner in 2000-01.
- Fauntleroy is the BIG EAST's top-scoring freshman at 11.9 points per game, including 13.0 in conference play and also ranks third among all BIG EAST players this season with her 2.5 steals per game average.
- Junior captain Kelsey Ransom is 16th in the league in scoring with 13.0 ppg as well as 13.6 ppg in league play.
- She leads the league in steals with 2.8 spg which ranks her 18th in the nation, is ninth in the league on the glass with 6.9 rpg and 10th in the conference in assists managing 3.2 apg.
About the Bulldogs
- Butler is 8-17 on the season and 3-13 in BIG EAST Conference play.
- Following seven-consecutive losses, the Bulldogs got back on the winning track at Providence with an exciting 63-62 victory.
- Anna Mortag led BU with a game-high 17 points as well as four rebounds, two assists, one steal and a block.
- Rachel McLimore is the lone Bulldog averaging double figures with 11.1 ppg to her credit.

- The Hoyas are 9-10 all-time against the Bulldogs and 4-5 on the road.
- Earlier this season, Georgetown fell to Butler 72-48 at McDonough Arena.
- Last year, Georgetown defeated the Bulldogs 69-48 to end the regular season in Indy.
