Swimming & Diving Earns 10 Medals on Day Three of BIG EAST Championships

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. – Georgetown University's men's and women's swimming & diving teams earned 10 medals, including two gold, six silver and two bronze on day three of the BIG EAST Championships presented by JEEP in East Meadow, New York on Friday evening.

Hoya Highlights

The Georgetown men are currently sitting in first with 564 points and the women are in third with 807.5 points.
Erin Hood started off the night capturing gold in the 400 IM when she stunned the competition with a NCAA B cut time of 2:14.78 to break a program record previously set by the junior.
Angelica Reali and Bella Wylie finished first and second in the 100 fly with times of 53.89 and 53.94.
Michael Baldini picked up another medal with a second-place finish (47.15) in the 100 fly.
In the 200 free, Sean Percin earned a third-place finish with a time of 1:37.68.
The Blue & Gray dominated the 100 breaststroke with four Hoyas competing in the championship final. Bailey De Luise (55.05) finished third followed by Nick Pezzella (55.18) in fourth, Ansen Meyer (55.19) in fifth and Stephen Kim (55.70) in seventh.
Maddie Haley (55.28) and John McEachern (48.60) both earned second in the 100 backstroke.
Charlie Reichle finished second in the 3 meter dive with a score of 588.45.
After a tight battle for second with Xavier, the Hoyas came out on top with a time of 3:15.16 in the 400 medley relay.
