WASHINGTON – Hosting former BIG EAST foe Notre Dame to the Nation's Capital for the first time since 2012, the No. 15/18 Georgetown University men's lacrosse team fell 15-8 to the second-ranked Fighting Irish on Saturday afternoon. The Hoyas drop to 0-3 on the season while the Irish improve to 3-0.

How it Happened
- Notre Dame opened scoring with a pair of goals in the first 2:06 of action before McDermott got the Hoyas on the board at the 12:11 mark. The Irish would push their lead to 4-1 before Bundy found the back of the cage, but added two goals in the final 62 seconds before another Bundy goal with four ticks remaining salvaged a 6-3 score.
- Georgetown was held scoreless in the second quarter as ND added three goals to make it 9-3 going into the break.
- Coming out of halftime, the Irish outscored their hosts 4-2 in the stanza, including four of the first five goals, before McDermott's goal with four seconds left made it 13-5.
- Notre Dame scored the first two goals of the fourth, but a late offensive output from the Hoyas closed the game out with three goals in the final three minutes of play to make it a 15-8 final.
Notre Dame Notes
- Chris Kavanagh, Eric Dobson and Reilly Gray led the Fighting Irish with three goals each.
- Quinn McCahon had two goals and an assist while Pat Kavanagh had a goal and two assists.
- Defensively, Chris Conlin and Will Donovan both had a pair of caused turnovers. Brian Tevlin led the way with six ground balls.
- In goal, Liam Entenmann earned the win behind a nine-save performance.

- Bundy moves into a tie for 10th place all-time in career scoring at Georgetown, passing Craig Dowd ('10) and Dylan Watson ('22) while matching Michael Mauboussin ('86) with 140 points.
- McDermott moved into sole possession of 24th place all-time in career scoring, passing Travis Comeau ('13), Mike Henehan ('01) and Kevin Noonan ('94) with 112 points.
