Hoyas Roll Coppin State 10-0

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team defeated Coppin State on Wednesday afternoon 10-0 for the Hoyas' second-consecutive shutout. Kai Leckszas picked up his first-collegiate win on the mound.

ON THE RECORD
"Great midweek win and a great team effort today. Kai Leckszas was awesome getting his first-career win, but I thought our bullpen was fantastic helping throw another shutout today. It was great to see some guys get in there today, guys off the bench like Jordan Kahn getting his first-career hit there and two RBIs, those moments are awesome. Kretzschmar had the big hit when we were up 6-0 that made it 8-0 which was great to see and it was another big day for Hyde, Lopez and Eze. Eze got us going with that lead-off home run and I am proud of our guys for their efforts today. Excited to pick up the win and looking forward to getting on the road and playing a Big Ten team in Penn State this weekend. " - Head Coach Edwin Thompson
