Erin Bakes responded for the Hoyas with an unassisted goal at the 9:55 mark. After the Terps found the back of the net at the 7:21 mark Kylie Hazen landed a free position goal to keep the Hoyas within five (8-3). The Hoyas applied defensive pressure on the Terps, going scoreless over the next five minutes, but Maryland would finish the half up by six (9-3) after a goal from Kori Edmondson at the 0:41 mark.
  • Georgetown got the first tally of the third quarter from Gracie Driggs at the 13:53 mark. Two minutes later, the Terps gained the women-up advantage and earned a goal from Emma Muchnick. GU's defense held down the Terps with both teams going scoreless for the remainder of the quarter. Georgetown out-shot Maryland in the third 6-3.
