WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's tennis team picked up a 5-2 home win over George Washington on Sunday afternoon.
The Hoyas jumped out to a 1-0 lead after winning the doubles point by default due to a forfeited match by the Colonials.
Avantika Willy put the Hoyas up 2-0 after battling back from dropping the first set. The Colonials managed to secure two singles points but
Paige Gilbert and
Agata Mikos would pick up two dominating singles victories for the Blue & Gray. GW fortified the sixth singles match to land the Hoyas a 5-2 win.
