WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University women's tennis team advanced to an 8-4 record after earning a 6-1 road victory over UC Riverside on Wednesday night.
The Hoyas earned a 1-0 lead after sweeping the doubles competition. After falling in the first set 6-3,
Avantika Willy had a strong 6-2, 6-2 finish over Brionna Nguyen in the number one singles match.
Chloe Bendetti followed with her own dominating win 6-0, 6-2 over Maya Youssef.
Agata Mikos battled with Sofia Lazzaroni, pushing each set to extra points but ultimately fell giving UCR its lone win of the competition.
